Alternative Easter Menu!

Now, normally, we have turkey and ham for Easter dinner.
We also have turkey and ham for Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner. Hunny, my sister and brother in law and I got together and decided we are kind of bored with this menu. It's good, don't get me wrong, but for every holiday meal? We decided to change things up. I had tried researching recipes for alternative ideas and the only thing I could come up with was lamb. I love lamb, but I'm pretty sure that my in laws would not touch it. That was a no go. Then my husband came up with a brilliant and completely off the wall idea. Bologna burgers! For those who don't know what a bologna burger is, you are seriously missing out. What you do is go to the grocery store and buy a roll of bologna. Kroger carries small rolls in the lunch meat section. You cut it a little thick and then grill them. Slap some cheese on it with a sesame seed bun and you have bologna goodness! So, our menu is looking like this-
Bologna burgers
Macaroni salad
A side decided by my sister in law. Something with cheese because cheese is good
Deviled eggs because I threatened with death by husband and oldest daughter if we didn't have them.
Caramel apple dump cake
Chocolate cream pie

And that brings me to what I want to share with you. I found this recipe for the dump cake on Facebook. It's from Centsless Deals and it only uses 4 ingredients!

2 cans pie filling. This calls for apples but feel free to use any others
1 box yellow cake mix
2 sticks of butter melted
1/2 cup caramel sauce
1/2 t cinnamon optional
1/2 cup chopped pecans

In a greased 13x9 dish, mix apples with the caramel sauce. Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired. Spread evenly in the pan. Sprinkle entire cake mix over top. Top with melted butter and pecans (optional). Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes or until top is brown and filling is bubbly around the edges. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream
