The ABSOLUTE Best Chocolate Chip Cookies!

I have made these cookies four times now and every time, they are gone within a couple days.
They are big, soft, chewy and absolutely delicious! And you'll never guess what the secret ingredient is that makes them this heavenly.....Corn starch. Yep. You read that right. Corn starch. You will not be able to eat just one of these. Be prepared. And it didn't help that at one of our Walmarts they had Nestle chocolate chips on sale for .99 the other week. I bought 5 bags. We will be stocked in these babies for a while! I found this on Center Cut Cook. Remember, you make these big, so you don't get as many per bowl as usual. I think the most I've gotten is about 18. And they are going to look like they need more baking. But, you want them a little underdone. The top will be just a little brown and the bottom just a bit darker. Here's the recipe--

2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons corn starch
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup melted unsalted butter (I used Country Crock and it tasted heavenly anyway!)
1 large egg and 1 egg yolk
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips (I use about half a bag of the chocolate chips)

In a large bowl, sift the flour, corn starch, salt, and baking powder together. In another bowl. whisk together the brown sugar, sugar, and butter. Add eggs. Whisk, Add vanilla. Pour wet into dry and mix. Fold in the chips. Place dough in a bowl and cover. Refrigerate and chill for at least 3 hours. (I have made these without chilling and they were fine. I think the chilling just helps them hold their shape a little better, but there really wasn't any difference.) Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or grease lightly. Use three tablespoons of dough per cookie. You will get about 6 cookies per sheet. Bake 11-12 minutes. Enjoy!/
