Another Go To Cloth Pattern! Yes, More Crochet!

These are face scrubbies that I have for sale in my shop. The pattern for these is the basis of all circle patterns I use, it seems. It is extremely simple and you can make them as big or as little as you like, which is what I like about the pattern. It is very versatile. I usually use either the 100% cotton yarn or 85% cotton 15% polyester. Both work well and are extremely durable. I figure they have to stand up to many washings, or there isn't a point in making them, right?

Yarn of your choosing, either cotton or cotton blend
Size G crochet hook

Row 1 Ch 4 sl st to join
Row 2 Ch 3, 8 dc in circle, sl st to top of ch 3
Row 3 Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to top of ch 3
Row 4 Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to top of ch 3
Row 5 Ch 3, dc in same st, (dc in next st, 2 dc in next st) Repeat () around. Sl st to top of ch 3
Row 6 Ch 3, dc in same st, (dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next st) Repeat () around. Sl st to top of ch 3.

This is as far as I go for the face scrubbies. If you want to go larger for washcloths, or even a round afghan, you would just increase each round by a single dc. So that means, in row 7, it would be dc in next 3, 2 dc in next. Row 8 would be dc in next 4, row 9 dc in next 5, and so on and so forth. I have noticed that the bigger you go, you get a slight ruffle, which I like. Play around with it and see what you come up with!
