Now, if you have been reading this blog for any kind of time, you know I love Kroger.
Their sales and coupons are fantastic. Well, today was no exception. They had digital coupons that you could use up to 5 times and great sales on the items the coupons were for. So, of course, I ended up buying more than I needed because I couldn't say no to the deals. Which I'm sure was Kroger's intention anyway.
As I was putting the groceries away, I decided that this week, instead of going grocery shopping on Thursday like I usually do, I'm going to see how long we can go without grocery shopping and just eating what I have stockpiled. Yes, I have a stockpile. It is in my laundry room on shelves with my inventory for Not My Mama's Crochet. We have more than enough snacks, drinks and food to last more than a week. My freezer is full to bursting. As are my cabinets. It's a good feeling, I'll admit that I have stockpiled this much, but I think this will be good to see how long we can go. Have you ever tried this? Of course, I am choosing the week that along with Bubby being at school, Hunny will be in Ohio, Doodle has a bunch of college freshman things to attend and Izzie is working, so I don't think it's going to be too hard to live off what we have. But, maybe that means we'll be able to go 2 weeks! I'll update with how long we make it!
