Netflix or Amazon?

**This is not a sponsored post. Netflix nor Amazon have any idea who I am. This is just a comparison that I am doing now. I did not receive any compensation for doing this post.**

We have been customers of Netflix since they first started. We started out with both the streaming and the dvd mail, then their prices changed and we switched to just streaming. Well, their prices just went up again, which it is still reasonable at 9.99 a month, but my husband decided to look into Amazon Prime. I've been doing a lot of research and comparing.
I'm thinking we may switch to Amazon. They seem to have a lot more to choose from movie and tv wise. I just found last night that they have Downton Abbey! (But, not Call The Midwife, which is my current favorite. =( But, I found a website that I can watch it from so it's ok!) Also, although Netflix has more original content, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, etc, I think that's because they were the first to start doing that. Hulu and Prime are slowly catching up. And from what I've read, if you're a Marvel fan, you should stick with Netflix. Thankfully, Hunny is a Batman fan!
The perks with Prime just seem to outweigh Netflix. You get free 2 day shipping on eligible items, and access to free music and free titles in the Kindle library. Plus, I just found out a little while ago, you can download titles from Prime to watch offline. Hunny will like that because with his travelling, he usually hates whatever movie the airline is showing! I also like that if what you want to watch is not included in the Prime Library, you can usually buy it. With Netflix, if it's not in the streaming library, you're out of luck. Or you can sign up and pay more to have the mailing option, if it's in that library. And of course the cost. Prime is 99$ for the year and you can watch 2 different titles on 2 different screens. We are paying 9.99$ a month for 2 screens with Netflix which comes out to about 120$ a year. And with Netflix, there are no other perks like I've talked about. It's just streaming.
We are in the free trial month right now, but I think we may be making the switch at the end of the month. What do you think? Have you tried both? Do you have a preference on either? Let me know!
