Fried Squash! (Or any veggie, really!)

With the summer harvest starting, (we just got a load of squash and zucchini from our lovely neighbor) I figured I would share this really easy recipe. This was the first recipe I ever learned from my grandma after I got married. You can use it for squash, zucchini, green tomatoes, you name it. And it's delicious! Here's what you need:
2 bowls
Oil for frying
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1/2-1 cup of flour
Salt and Pepper
Veggie of choice to fry- squash, zucchini, green tomatoes, etc.

In one bowl, put the milk and egg and beat together. In the other bowl, put the flour and liberally salt and pepper. Don't skimp. Mix together. Slice your veggie about a 1/2 in thick and then take the slices and dip in the egg, then the flour, then the egg, then the flour. Then place in the hot oil and fry for about 2 minutes on each side. Just till golden. Enjoy!
