Summer Bucket List

I have never really done a bucket list per se. I know it's good to set goals and such. We do have some plans for this summer like going to see the Nationals play in DC. Oh, and go to the Aquarium in Baltimore. Hubby has been wanting to do that for a few years now and we just haven't made it. It's hard for us to plan many trips during the summer with Hubby's work schedule though. Another goal I want to do is to find a new campground. We have 2 that are our favorites but haven't really branched out in years. But, this is also the first year in about 4 that we actually got time to go camping. Camping is honestly one of my favorite things to do. I love getting back to simple. No tv's, no phones, just the family and the outdoors. And around here there is no shortage of mountains. Which I absolutely adore. If I can't have the beach all the time, give me the mountains. I would like to make it to a beach this summer, if possible. We have gone to a beach every year for the past few years. The ocean is like a salve for my soul. Sounds corny, but that's the only way I can describe it. We have been to Virginia Beach, Outer Banks, and Myrtle. My absolute favorite is the Outer Banks.  Especially Ocracoke. If you go to the Outer Banks, you have to take the ferry to Ocracoke. The drive in is the most gorgeous. We stopped and climbed the dunes to see the ocean from the road and it seems like you are the only person on Earth. Just miles of sand and ocean. Beautiful.
I guess you can call this a bucket list...

  1. Amazing list! I would totally call this a bucket list! I love camping too - being able to be in nature with absolutely no tie to reality for a weekend is honestly the best feeling. I think that camping is something I need to add to my bucket list this summer. GREAT post! XOXO

  2. OMG, I wrote something similar about the ocean for my bucket list! We live in the Midwest, so I don't obviously see it often, but it does soothe the soul. I'm looking forward to the Pacific Ocean next week while traveling to a craniofacial conference with my husband and daughter! Thanks for your post. Saw it on the SITS link-up!
