Fresh Blueberry Muffins!

This is my mom's Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. She got it right after she was married in 1968. It's my go-to cookbook. With all these blueberries, I decided to make muffins! So I used the muffin recipe that is in this cookbook. They are called Best Ever Muffins.
1 3/4 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar (I used a little more. Maybe 2 tablespoons more. I like sweet)
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 well beaten egg
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup oil or melted shortening
1 cup fresh blueberries
I also put in about 1 tsp vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. (I did not do that. I just dumped them in and stirred.) Make well in center. Combine egg, milk and oil and vanilla if you are using. Add all at once to the dry ingredients. Stir quickly until moistened. Fill prepared muffin pans until 2/3 full and bake at 400 for 25 minutes.

The blueberries explode and all the good juice goes into the muffin. Bubby is almost done with his and loves them! Go make you a batch!
